Christian Education

Jesus said to let the little children come to him. Here at First UMC,
our vision is to help children to come to Christ and grow to be more like Jesus.

The care of your child is not only your greatest concern but ours as well.  First UMC is committed to providing a safe, nurturing Christian environment for infants and preschoolers, and all of our volunteers have been screened and completed background checks. Our dedicated child care staff will do their best to see that your child is given loving care and attention while in their charge.

The nursery is available during our 9:45 a.m. worship service. Our greeters will assist you in locating the nursery and getting your little ones settled.

All children must be signed in by the parent or adult, and will be released to that adult following the service. We suggest arriving at least 10 minutes before worship begins in order to have adequate time to get your children checked in.

Sunday School

During our Sunday morning worshp service, children ages 4 to eleven are invited to participate in Children's Church. Children's Church is an an age-appropriate time of worship designed to help children experience God and learn about Biblical truths that will help them grow in Christ.  Children will be dismissed from the worship service to attend this activity.
