Feel free to join any of our activities – social and spiritual – throughout the week, or to contact the church if you have any questions. We look forward to meeting you!

When Do You Worship?

Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 9:45 a.m.  You can expect a traditional worship service which focuses on connecting with God through music, Scripture, a message, and prayer.

Where Are You Located?

First UMC is located at the corner of Waverly Road and Delta River Drive in northwest Lansing (Click here for map). Our parking lot is accessible from either street. The main entrances to the building and ample accessible parking are found on the east side of the building.

Do You Offer Child Care?

Nursery care is available during our services. Our Greeters will be glad to help you locate the nursery and introduce you to our nursery staff.

I Have Children. What Programs Do You Offer For Them?

Our Sunday school classes for youth and adults run from September through May. Classes are held following the service until noon. In addition, our students meet regularly for special activities that center on fellowship, learning, and service. Check out the links to God Squad for middle and high school students.

How Should I Dress?

You will find that some people prefer more traditional church dress and that many others prefer casual wear such as blue jeans or shorts. Please join us in whatever makes you comfortable. What is important is that we gather together to worship the Lord.

What Can We Expect as Visitors?

Our greeters and staff are committed to providing a comfortable, enjoyable experience for all of our guests. Rest assured that, though you will be warmly welcomed, you will not be singled out or embarrassed in any way.  For more information about First UMC, please contact us at 517-321-5187 or email
